Infusion therapy

What is infusion therapy useful for?

Physical weakness, low vitality, fatigue, immune deficiencies, and susceptibilty to infections are frequently linked to a lack of amino acids, vitamins, trace elements or minerals.

Whenever these vital substances cannot be sufficiently absorbed through food, highly-dosed infusion therapy can offset the increased need for the respective missing nutrients. These infusions can help to prevent illnesses, boost the immune system, and trigger healing processes in cases of acute or chronic diseases or allergies.

They also help at the first signs of an illness or when the body’s defences are low due to high stress loads, when mitochondrial activity and energy production need to be restored, or in the aftermath of a gastrointestinal condition.

The major benefit of infusion therapies is that the body quickly receives a pharmacologically highly effective dose that bypasses the gastrointestinal tract for better absorption.

Modules

There are different types of immune-boosting infusions that can be tailored to the respective symptoms and/or the patient’s condition. By combining different active substances, each patient can be given their own customised infusion blend.

A high-dose vitamin C infusion directly enters the bloodstream and can immediately compensate a vitamin C deficiency. With dietary intake a transporter has to absorb the vitamin C from the intestine and transport it into the bloodstream. As humans only have a limited number of such transporters, not all of the orally ingested vitamin C can be absorbed, and any excess is simply excreted.

Vitamin C is also essential for building collagen. Collagen deficiency has a negative impact on the skin, muscles, bones, cartilage, tendons and connective tissue, potentially leading to delayed wound healing, loosened teeth, inflamed gums, and other undesirable effects. Vitamin C regulates lipid metabolism and the breakdown of toxins in the body, and enables hormone release. Consequently, a Vitamin C infusion can help to lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of vascular disease.

In the early 20th century, when vitamin C was first being researched, ascorbic acid was identified as its main component and therefore assumed to be synonymous with natural vitamin C. Today, however, we know that ascorbic acid represents only a part of the vitamin complex in the body.

Endogenous glutathione is one of the most important antioxidants produced naturally in the human organism. It fights free radicals, which can damage virtually all body cells. Glutathione exists in every body cell and binds harmful substances, such as alcohol or pesticides, and transports them out of the body.

It protects the mitochondria, which are the power stations of all cells, boosts their energy production, and protects the DNA from damage. Naturally occurring glutathione supports the immune system and reduces inflammation, thereby guarding against diseases related to glutathione deficiency or increased oxidative stress.

Intravenous administration of our IND mix can greatly increase the concentration of micronutrients in the blood. Using this method, more nutrients are fed into the cells, particularly into the mitochondria, enabling them to work more effectively. The classic IND mix contains a high-dose combination of selected amino acids and most B vitamins.

Every day, every single one of our around 70 billion body cells is under attack from 10,000 to 80,000 free radicals. L-carnosine is an effective antioxidant to withstand these natural but harmful attacks. It is not only a powerful immune system stimulant, but also a cell renovator.

L-carnosine is an endogenous and 100% natural substance predominantly found in long-living cells, such as muscle and nerve cells, but also in the heart muscle, kidneys, liver, brain, and other organs. L-carnosine is a neuropeptide that protects against arteriosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, skin aging, and eye impairments, and is known for its strong protective effects on our brain (against Alzheimer’s, autism, Parkinson’s, etc.).

NAD+ is a critical coenzyme found in every cell in our body. It turns nutrients into energy and can directly and indirectly affect metabolism, DNA repair, cellular processes and immune cell functions. These cellular processes and functions are critical for maintaining good physical and mental health, defense against diseases and for healthy ageing. The targeted influencing of the NAD+ metabolism has emerged as a potential therapeutic approach to age related disease, that extends the human healthspan and lifespan.

My NAD+-infusions use only NAD+, the oxidised and most powerful form of NAD. NAD+ converts glucose into cellular energy, which is crucial in supporting a healthy ageing process, driving metabolic function, supporting DNA repair, reducing inflammation and decreasing our susceptibility to disease and chronic illness.
